You need to know five things about a mommy makeover

Over the last decade, the mommy makeover has become incredibly popular as it enables plastic surgeons to fix many problem areas in a single procedure. Because time is always our most precious asset, any operation that can rejuvenate, for example, the abdomen and the breasts at once safely and effectively is exciting.

But not all mommy makeover procedures are created equal, and mixing procedures for every patient is not always acceptable. Here are five things you need to know about a mommy makeover. No regular mommy makeover is available.

Not a one size fits all treatment is a mommy makeover. Alternatively, this is a technique that must be adapted to your particular specifications, lifestyle and anatomy.

  • For pregnancy
  • Make breastfeeding
  • Benefit or Loss of Weight
  • The age
  • Via menopause

These may all be exacting a toll on your body contour. For instance, the skin on the abdomen can stretch beyond its capacity to “bounce back,” leaving you with unwanted droopy rolls, sagging skin and irregular contours. In the belly, hips and flanks, many patients may also lose volume in their breasts and/or develop stubborn pockets of fat that may be immune to diet and exercise. Picking the correct timing and combination of procedures to better fix your particular problem areas is the secret to a happier mommy makeover result.

Mommy’s makeover typically involves the belly and breasts

Usually, a mother’s makeover requires some sort of breast surgery and a tummy tuck. As the moniker suggests, the operation first came about as a way for women to rejuvenate the body areas most affected by motherhood. Over time, though, Mommy’s makeover has grown. It can now involve any combination of procedures, such as:

  • Breast rise
  • Breast lifting
  • Breast-reduction
  • Tommy Tuck
  • Buttock Rise
  • Liposuccion
  • Lift of weapons
  • High lift

The aim of Mommy’s makeover is to restore a more uplifted, youthful look to the contour of your body. This may include excreting excess skin, removing excessive fat, increasing breast volume with a breast implant, and/or resolving volume loss with fat grafting.

Breast raise vs breast lift

Breast surgery is also a central component of mom’s makeover. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, in particular, can cause the breasts to deflate. A breast implant is a healthy, excellent way to regain this missing amount. However, pregnancy, breastfeeding and age may also spread the skin and tissues of your breasts. That’s why a simple breast raise is not always the solution.

When you’re standing in front of the mirror, are your nipples already facing forward? If you don’t, you’ll probably be best suited with a breast lift either on your own or with a breast implant. Trying to use a larger implant to compensate for sagging skin typically leads to problems along the path.

Loose, drooping skin is a symptom of damaged tissue that does not have the ability to keep the implant in place over time. A breast lift will return your nipple to the middle of your breast, providing a more fresh, perky appearance.

Most of them need a full stomach tuck

The abdomen has been a troublesome spot for so many patients. While liposuction is the gold standard for the removal of excess fat, it cannot fix sagging skin or loose muscles, both of which are common in patients who have had children or have lost a substantial amount of weight.

However the stomach tuck will boost all three of them. There are two options for the tummy tuck: a full tummy tuck and a mini tummy tuck. While most patients want the latter, they simply need the former.

The perfect candidate for a mini tummy tuck just has a loose skin under the belly button. This effectively removes the majority of women who have given birth, gained weight, or gone through menopause. Patients like the concept of any operation with the term “mini” because it means a shorter incision. It is important to bear in mind, however that a mini-tummy tuck is still an important operation that needs downtime.

No patient wants to go through all of this and not have an elevated, flat belly.

Intend to restore you

Mommy’s transformation will drastically change how your body looks, giving you more energy, more vitality and more self-esteem. It is also a surgical procedure that needs an investment in recovery time. Patients with the happiest results are those that prepare accordingly. In general, the most downtime needed for a tummy tuck is around two weeks.

However, you won’t be able to bend or lift normally for another 3-4 weeks. So, prepare your meals ahead of time and freeze them, order someone to cook for you or, better yet, get someone to cook for you. And if you do have small children, set aside childcare.

The best way to achieve a great outcome is to allow the body the time and energy it requires to recover properly.
