Over the last decade, the mommy makeover has become incredibly popular as it enables plastic surgeons to fix many problem areas in a single procedure. Because time is always our most precious asset, any operation that can rejuvenate, for example, the abdomen and the breasts at once safely and effectively is exciting.
But not all mommy makeover procedures are created equal, and mixing procedures for every patient is not always acceptable. Here are five things you need to know about a mommy makeover. No regular mommy makeover is available.

Mommy’s makeover typically involves the belly and breasts
Usually, a mother’s makeover requires some sort of breast surgery and a tummy tuck. As the moniker suggests, the operation first came about as a way for women to rejuvenate the body areas most affected by motherhood. Over time, though, Mommy’s makeover has grown. It can now involve any combination of procedures, such as:

Breast surgery is also a central component of mom’s makeover. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, in particular, can cause the breasts to deflate. Patients like the concept of any operation with the term “mini” because it means a shorter incision. It is important to bear in mind, however that a mini-tummy tuck is still an important operation that needs downtime.
No patient wants to go through all of this and not have an elevated, flat belly.

Mommy’s transformation will drastically change how your body looks, giving you more energy, more vitality and more self-esteem. It is also a surgical procedure that needs an investment in recovery time. Patients with the happiest results are those that prepare accordingly. In general, the most downtime needed for a tummy tuck is around two weeks.
However, you won’t be able to bend or lift normally for another 3-4 weeks. So, prepare your meals ahead of time and freeze them, order someone to cook for you or, better yet, get someone to cook for you. And if you do have small children, set aside childcare.
The best way to achieve a great outcome is to allow the body the time and energy it requires to recover properly.
